Happy Holidays!

As we celebrate The Holidays with our Family and Friends, we would like to take this opportunity to thank The Desert Stages Theatre Family and Community. We are so grateful for the generous support that has been shown for our Capital Campaign. Your contributions, in every form, are what is making this move possible. As we continue to strive towards our collective goal of building our next home, we feel that it is important to reflect on the year and the successful events that have helped to put this dream on the path to becoming a reality.

With your support, fundraising opportunities such as; The Gala, Future 500 Plaques, Seat Naming, Theatre Naming Rights, Movie Night, The Ball Bash, Baked Bear Night, Jay Danek's - Couch to 5k, VIP Night, Miscast Cabaret, Society for the Arts Holiday Fundraiser, and various others were extremely beneficial in assisting us with establishing a financial base so that we may begin the process of moving.

Behind the scenes, your Fundraising Committee, Board of Directors, Theatre Personnel, and dedicated community members have been working diligently by frequently meeting with contractors, architects, lighting and sound companies, city planners/inspectors, as well as the current and future property owner, so that we may have a comprehensive budget and accurate timeline.

Currently, we have the finalized architectural plans, a specific contractor and bid, an exciting light and sound plan, and we are working with the current landowner (that will be our future landowner as well) on a timeline that will work with our existing financial resources and future show schedule. As with every construction schedule, modifications and changes can happen, however, we are very optimistic and hope to be in the new location, inside Fashion Square, by late Spring 2017!

This is an exciting time, and we certainly wouldn't be moving forward without our theatre family. There is much more to do, and we hope to keep everyone informed about the progress we make on our new home.   We have minimized the scope of this project to the basics so that we can move forward, but we encourage every person reading this letter to consider and ask others to consider giving. We have many naming opportunities still available. Please remember that every donation supports a dream.
