Be a star on Center Stage at Scottsdale Desert Stages Theatre March 14 - May 2, 2012
Join Scottsdale Desert Stages Academy for CENTER STAGE! This 8-week session will showcase Broadway's Favorites and introduce young actors, ages 4-10, to all aspects to musical theatre production. Mini-camp will include auditions, acting games and plenty of singing and dancing. Classes are every Wednesday from 4-6pm. Classes begin March 14, 2012 and will conclude with a FREE performance on May 2, 2012 for family and friends. All activities are held at the theatre. No experience needed. Be prepared for movement. Desert Stages Theatre opened its Academy for Theatrical Arts in January, 2000 to help young would-be actors discover their creative abilities and ease their entrée into the world of performing. Today the Academy offers fall and spring classes in musical production and operates its popular Camp for Young Actors every summer.
Dance Fusion with Madison
Learn the proper technique for leaps and turns in Jazz, as well as the basics in Contemporary and Improvisation.
Madison MacDonald has been dancing since the age of 6. She has studied all styles of dance thru out her career. Madison currently dances with a professional modern dance company in Phoenix, Center Dance Ensmble, and teaches dance classes at Dance Gallerie in Avondale.
Each 75 minute class will be held at 10am on Saturday from April 14 to May 12. Tuition is $100 for the 5-week session or $25 per class.
