Join Scottsdale Desert Stages Academy for CENTER STAGE! This 8-week session will showcase Broadway’s Favorites and introduce young actors, ages
4-10, to all aspects to musical theatre production. Mini-camp will include auditions, acting games and plenty of singing and dancing. Classes are every Wednesday from 4-6pm. Classes begin
August 4, 2010 and will conclude with a FREE performance on
September 22, 2010 for family and friends. All activities are held at the theatre. No experience needed. Be prepared for movement. Please wear appropriate dance shoes; no flip-flops or sandals will be allowed. For questions, call the Theatre Box Office at (480) 483-1664.
Desert Stages Theatre opened its Academy for Theatrical Arts in January, 2000 to help young would-be actors discover their creative abilities and ease their entrée into the world of performing. Today the Academy offers fall and spring classes in musical production and operates its popular Camp for Young Actors every summer.
